Rujuta Kelkar - 1st Rank in Science Olympiad
Rujuta , daughter of our 4M member Jitendra & Sharmila Kelkar a student of class VII, studying in Indian school Al Ghubra, appeared for all the four examinations and was successful in scoring 1st Rank in the state Category in all the four examinations for the academic year 2011 – 2012.

Mrs Alka Dhavale of our Marathi wing participated in the 10 Km Mini marathon organised by Muscat Festival 2012 on Friday 17th Feb 2012 and made us proud by winning Gold Medal in 10 km Mini Marathon. She completed the race in 01hr 12.40 Mins.

Competition held in Delhi on Environment in collaboration with Ministry of Environment and Hero Motors India.
Srujan’s team won the Annual Quiz (TERRA QUIZ) Competition
The Energy and Resources Institute of India (TERI) conduct Annual Quiz (TERRA QUIZ) since 1999 on Environment in collaboration with Ministry of Environment and Hero Motors. In all 28 teams from Indian schools and 4 teams from Indian schools abroad were selected, to participate from quarter final rounds onward, based on the performance in the test conducted by TERI in the month of August/September 2011. These rounds were held from 16th. to 22nd. December at TERI campus in Gurgaon.

Heartiest Congratulations to Nupoor Maduskar on her achievment .
Nupoor won 2 Silver medals in CBSE National Swimming Championships
Nupoor represented Indian School, Al Ghubra (Gulf Zone) in the recent CBSE National Swimming Championships 2011 conducted by Sagar Public School in Bhopal, India. Around 70 CBSE schools form all over India and the Gulf participated in this competition that lasted for 4 days.
Nupoor participated in total 5 events. She, along with her relay team won 2 silver medals in 4x100m Medley Relay and 4x100m Free style relay. Nupoor is proficient is all strokes but her main stoke is Butterfly.
This is the fifth consecutive year Nupoor participated in the CBSE swimming Nationals and she has won 4 silver medals and 1 bronze medal so far in addition to the many medals she won in Muscat and UAE competitions.
Heartiest Congratulations to Aditi Mahajan, a student of class 11 at ISWK, was a special invitee and a guest of the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Sh. Manmohan Singh at the Republic day Parade on the Rajpath, New Delhi on the 26th of January 2011. She had the honour of witnessing the parade from the Prime Minister’s box and receiving a Certificate of Merit. This move has been initiated by the combined efforts of Ministries of Defence, Human Resource Development and the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
This honour has been bestowed upon her in recognition of her outstanding academic performance in the class 10 Board examination conducted by the CBSE (2009-2010). Out of the many students with a CGPA of 10 in Muscat, Aditi is the only NRI in her age group to attend this function, based on her total marks and percentage. She was ranked among the top 12 in India, top 3 in Delhi and 1st in the Gulf region. Twelve students from class ten, 12 from class 12 and 76 Degree holders of various age groups, each excelling in his/her own field received this once-in-a-lifetime chance to witness the Parade from the Prime Minister’s enclosure. The school management, Director, Principal and Staff congratulate and wish that Ms. Aditi Mahajan soars higher and higher in her academic pursuits.

Our young runner …Yash Deshpande was the youngest to complete “Summer Series Race 4″in hot humid conditions and duned surface track over a distance of 4.2 kms a race organised by MRR. MRR (Muscat Road Runner) is club of amature runners, who enjoys running.twice a week…..are we seeing the first runs of the new Milkha Singh….
Bhagyashree Gupte was selected to attend the Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington DC and New York City
Komal Sanjay Jog has secure 111th Rank for medical in Karnataka CET & 226th rank for Manipal entrance exams. She also secured 92% in her 12th Std exams.

Srujan Keskar, scored 100 percentile marks in English in “International Benchmark test in English, Mathematics and Science” conducted by Australian Council for Educational Research in November 08. He stood first in English in the entire Middle East. He is awarded a shield, Certificate of Honour, an appreciation letter and a cash prize of RO 50/- by the Australian Council for Educational Research.
